Today, it’s all about building guitar solos. With just a little planning, you can create melodic, memorable solos every time!
Improvising is great and an essential part of your playing. But, the ideas you get from jamming are not always the finished product. Sometimes we have to refine these ideas a little bit more.
To get something truly listenable and memorable for recording a lead or writing a song, there are some things that need to be addressed.
Today, I go over the essential steps to building a great guitar solo. I get in depth about:
- The big picture: Style and chord progression of the song
- Deciding what you want to say
- Outlining your solo
- Choosing your ideas
- Putting it all together.
