I'M LEE
My dream for Play Guitar Academy, since 2018, has been to bring hope to frustrated guitarists who learn online.
Online guitar instruction is heading in the wrong direction and leaving most new players confused and massively overwhelmed.
It doesn't have to be this way and I'm putting my money where my mouth is!
MY STORY
I've been a professional guitarist and guitar teacher for over 35 years.
I'm a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance with a Computer Composition emphasis.
I have taught thousands of individual and group guitar classes all over the eastern United States and was the owner of Lee's Lessons in Forsyth, GA.
In 2018, I started the Play Guitar Podcast and the following year I became the owner and CEO of Play Guitar Academy.

PERFORMING MUSICIAN
➤Lee started playing the guitar at 12 years old and started performing in local bands at the age of 15 in Newark, Delaware.
➤ In high school, he joined the Jazz band and then played in the Delaware All-State Jazz band.
➤ First chair guitarist - University of Delaware Jazz Band.
➤ Performed with multiple small groups and ensembles - University of the Arts.
➤ After playing in many different bands in many different styles of music, Lee decided to start the Lee Anderson Band and played for years all over Central Georgia.
➤Eventually, Lee also became the Lead guitarist for Blues artist E. G. Kight playing at clubs and festivals all over the United States.
➤ With E.G., he performed at two Handy Blues Award shows and with many different blues artists like Hubert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins, and Kim Wilson.
➤ Now, with over 300 episodes and one million downloads, Lee and Play Guitar Podcast have been helping thousands of frustrated guitar players all over the world become the guitarists that they always wanted to be.
